AKAchitects is an established practice, with extensive experience in all aspects of Architectural work, including concept design, detail design development and contract administration of various project types, including single residences, commercial and retail works and multi-residential developments.

Following 10 years of experience with Architectural practices in Paris and Switzerland, working on various international projects both in Europe & USA, Alan Kempster established the practice in Sydney, in 1994, with the aim to pursue creative architecture through an integration of space, materials and function with an emphasis on the introduction of natural light and relationship to the surrounding site. A responsible environmental approach, including sustainability of elements used in construction, and exploration of energy reduction methods is of major concern in the design process and forms a significant factor in the development of all projects.

AKArchitects has also worked closely on various projects over the last 15 years with Susan Rothwell, mainly in the role of Project Architect, on many high-end single family residences, and multi-residential developments.
