These terms apply when you apply for a job listed through Maintain My House (the Platform). Please read them before submitting an application.
1. Our role
Maintain My House provides an introduction and referral service connecting applicants with potential job opportunities. We are not promising employment, a contract, or a particular volume of work. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will be contacted, shortlisted, selected, or awarded the job.
2. Applications and selection
More than one person or business may apply for the same job. Maintain My House may review, shortlist and recommend applicants based on suitability, experience, availability, location and other factors we consider relevant. We may decide which applicants to refer or progress, but the customer may ultimately decide whom to engage. We do not guarantee any particular selection outcome and are not obliged to select the lowest-priced applicant.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate application details and for confirming the job scope, price, timing and any other arrangements directly with the customer. You must hold any licences, permits and insurance required for the work, and comply with applicable safety and legal requirements. Any agreement to perform the work is between you and the customer unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
4. Agency fee: 10% on completed work
If you are awarded a job introduced through Maintain My House and you complete that job, you agree to pay Maintain My House an agency/referral fee equal to 10% of the final job cost. For this purpose, the final job cost is the final agreed price for the completed work, including agreed variations. The fee becomes payable following completion of the job, against the payment instructions or invoice issued by Maintain My House. You must not deliberately avoid this fee by arranging the introduced job outside the Platform.
If you are not awarded the job, or the job does not proceed to completion, the 10% completion fee is not triggered under these terms.
5. Completion and notification
If you are engaged, you agree to tell Maintain My House when the work has been completed and to provide the final job amount reasonably needed to calculate the agency fee. If there is a genuine disagreement about the final amount or whether the work is complete, please contact us so it can be reviewed before invoicing.
6. No guarantee of job outcome
Maintain My House does not guarantee that a customer will accept your quote, proceed with the work, pay on time, or be satisfied with any particular outcome. We do not supervise or warrant work carried out by independent applicants, and the applicant and customer remain responsible for their own agreed obligations, subject to applicable law.
7. Consent and acknowledgement
By ticking the agreement box and submitting your application, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Job Application Terms, including the conditional 10% agency fee. Maintain My House may contact you about your application, selection and job completion, and share the application details relevant to the opportunity with the customer.
These Job Application Terms relate to applications submitted through the Job panel and should be read together with the Platform's general terms and any applicable mandatory legal rights.
