By submitting a job request on Maintain My House, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Platform Disclaimer
Maintain My House is an independent platform that connects customers with service providers.
We do not vet, supervise, or guarantee any provider's credentials, workmanship, or reliability.
Accordingly, Maintain My House is not responsible for any outcomes, disputes, transactions, damages, or losses
arising from your interaction with a service provider found through the platform.
2. Job Redistribution Policy
If the service provider you initially contact does not respond within 48 hours, we may
forward your job request to other relevant professionals in your area to help you get a quicker response.
This redistribution is intended to enhance your chances of receiving timely assistance.
By posting a job, you consent to this process.
3. No Guarantee of Engagement
Submitting a job request does not guarantee a response, acceptance, or job completion by any provider.
Maintain My House facilitates introductions but is not involved in contract negotiation or job fulfillment.
4. Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the job description you submit.
Maintain My House reserves the right to edit, reject, or remove any post that violates our policies,
contains misleading information, or is deemed inappropriate.
5. Privacy & Data Use
We may share the information in your job request (excluding sensitive personal data) with professionals on our platform
for the sole purpose of fulfilling your request. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our
Privacy Policy.
6. Feedback & Quality Monitoring
Maintain My House may request feedback after a job is completed.
Ratings and reviews help improve quality and platform trust for all users.
Emergency & Life-Safety Clause
7. Not an emergency service.
Maintain My House is a marketplace and scheduling platform. We do not provide emergency response, and neither the platform nor participating providers can guarantee immediate attendance.
8. Call emergency services first.
If you believe there is any risk to life, health or serious property damage (e.g. fire, suspected gas leak, exposed live wiring, structural collapse, uncontrolled flooding, violence or threat of harm), do not use the platform to request help. Call Triple Zero (000) immediately (or 112 from a mobile). For storm/flood damage that is not life-threatening, contact the State Emergency Service (SES) on 132 500.
9. Provider obligations.
Providers must decline or withdraw from any job they reasonably consider to be life-threatening or otherwise requiring emergency response, must advise the customer to contact 000, and may take only reasonable, safe steps to make the site safe until emergency services attend.
10. Platform actions.
We may suspend, cancel, or reclassify job listings that indicate an emergency. Where permitted by law and to protect life or property, we may disclose relevant information to emergency services.
11. Liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maintain My House and its affiliates disclaim liability for any loss arising from a user's failure to contact emergency services or from delays inherent to platform-based job allocation.
