Haines Constructions Pty Ltd was officially established in 2012, however the foundations of the business were being built well before that. Director and Principal Contractor Peter grew up in the Lockyer Valley and finished school at the age of 15 to commence his apprenticeship with a well-regarded construction company in Gatton; almost 30 years later he is still loving being a part of the Building and Construction industry.

Peter is a qualified Carpenter/Joiner and holds a QBCC Builders-Low Rise Licence. Over the years he has worked for local builders and sub-contracted to larger project-home companies. He has created hundreds of kitchens, bathrooms, built-in cupboards, offices, extensions and new homes, ranging from 2-bedroom units through to multiple bedroom, 500- square-metre family homes with offices, multi-purpose rooms, patios, entertainment areas and sheds. Establishing his own construction company was Peter’s goal since he was a teenager and he feels very fortunate to have now worked with many wonderful homeowners in Toowoomba, Gatton, Laidley, Plainlands, Hatton Vale, Fernvale, the Somerset region, Sunshine Coast and all areas in between. Peter is truly passionate about what he does and prides himself on delivering a high quality product while remaining personally available to his clients all hours of the day, 7 days a week.

In the background Peter’s wife Megan takes care of the administrative, contractual and financial management of the business. She was also born and raised in the Lockyer Valley and has over 20 years experience in administration, bookkeeping, accounting and business management. After completing Year 12 she spent more than 14 years working for a local accounting firm in both administrative and accounting roles, providing her with valuable skills and knowledge to support Peter in establishing, managing and growing their business. She holds a Bachelor of Business from USQ and currently also works at Auto Pro Gatton which her family has owned and operated for over 30 years. She arranges her working life around caring for their two young sons (who are fast becoming as big as her!).
