KMT Contracting is a local family-owned and operated specialist stonework and general hardscaping company in the Great Southern, Western Australia. We deliver projects for private, commercial and government clients.

Our Lead Stonemason, Kim Taylor, began learning the craftmanship of traditional construction stonemasonry in 1990 from his Scottish heritage uncle and grandfather. And in 2024 he achieved a life’s goal of attaining Level 2 accreditation with the Dry Stone Walling Association (UK). Making him one of just a handful of professional level dry stone wallers in the country. Over the many years of mastering the craft, he has assisted with and completed a variety of different stone projects throughout the Great Southern, the Perth Hills and the Margaret River region. During this time, Kim learned the practical skills of a host of different wet trades and brings this additional experience to his solutions-focused approach. He has advanced from his first second-hand mini digger to a modern fleet of machinery, equipment and tools which compliment his wide range of abilities. From drainage, civil works and general hardscaping to specialist stonework and also select rock supply.

Our Projects Manager and Administrative Support, Cassie Dressler, is a fellow rock enthusiast with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Environmental Biology. She brings superior client service and timely support for the field crew. With her guidance, we can pride ourselves on our safe work practices and, upon request, can provide appropriate hazard and risk management documentation as well as current insurance certificates.
