I got my diploma in interior design at the award-winning Sydney Design School based in St Leonards and furthered my education at the reputable International School of Colour and Design, where I graduated with distinction in 2012. Following that, I worked as an interior designer and building designer for the design studio Inspired Spaces, putting my knowledge into practice.
For as long as I can think of, I have been fascinated by design and architecture. However, in my twenties, I worked successfully as a real estate agent. This gives me a sound understanding of what improvements add the most value to your property, a skill that comes in handy for your home renovation, above all.
Detour to becoming a designer
With the urge to further my education, I subsequently got a masters degree in business administration and changed my career path to becoming a corporate communications manager in the banking world. Today, I leverage my communication skills to understand your requirements and translate them into a space beyond your expectations.
Growing up in Germany in central Europe, I have had and taken the opportunity to travel extensively. As a result, I draw a lot of inspiration from Scandinavian simplicity, Italian flair and German functionality while incorporating these with the contemporary Australian way of life I so much enjoy. In 2005, my travels led me to Australia, where I met my now husband, Rowan, and moved to Australia. I haven’t looked back.
