R U S H is a specialist design studio, based in Sydney Australia.

We offer unique design solutions developed from a careful crafting of the clients brief, the specific opportunities of each site, and a sensitive approach to colour and materiality.

Born and educated in England, Jonathan Rush, a UK Registered Architect, has practiced both in England and Australia with over 35 years experience in the construction industry.

With a wealth of knowledge in all elements of Design, he has accumulated a portfolio of projects ranging from private residential and large scale multi-unit residential to public infrastructure projects and significant master planning projects. Jonathan has worked at key levels on many projects which have involved close liaison with local, state government and key community stakeholders.

Jonathan is also a specialist in offsite construction and prefabricated design, understanding the critical role that this emerging market has to play in the future of Architecture and design.

Jonathan has held senior positions in practices in both England and Australia - as an Associate with Hawkins\Brown Architects, London and as a Senior Associate at Turner Architects in Sydney.

Jonathan worked as head of design for a modular building company, where he led the design and documentation of an international first in pre-fabricated design. Tektum’s Space 2.0 won an Engineering Excellence Award and went on to be a Good Design ® Selection Winner.
