We believe that the design of the built environment should improve peoples lives and add quality to the communities it serves. This philosophy incorporates a long term interest in environmental sustainability and urban design.

Our work, public and private, is characterised by a contextual design based approach. Architecture connects people to place and to each other.

WE LOVE THE DETAIL - WE LOVE THE BIG PICTURE
Our urban strategy and planning work is grounded by our architectural experience and understanding of urban space and the policies levers that create it. We design the policy, shape the urban form, create the spaces within.

Our experience is unique. We design the very buildings we set the policy for – single dwelling housing and award winning multi dwelling developments – bringing the challenges of reality and policy together.

Our architecture comprises of simple and striking forms and injects warmth by exploiting the textural and tactile qualities of natural materials.

Smith & Tzannes acknowledges that we are on the land of the Gadigal, Bidjigal and Cammeraygal people within the Eora Nation, the traditional custodians of the land. We recognise and respect their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
