True North Architects is an award winning, architectural firm specialising in sustainability, which was established by Angus in 2007. Educated at the University of Sydney, Angus worked in the UK and Nepal and travelled extensively throughout Australia, Europe and Asia before moving to Port Douglas in Far North Queensland. Invaluable experience was gained working in the Tropics & fuelled Angus’ enduring interest in passive solar design & sustainability. Working with residential clients as well as large corporate developers on projects ranging up to $60 million, has provided Angus with an understanding of the importance of cost control to both residential clients and Company CEOs. Since returning to NSW in 2008 and establishing TNA’s architectural studio on the beautiful Central Coast, Angus has grown the range of work to include residential, multi-residential, educational, and commercial projects and services Sydney & Newcastle and anywhere in-between. Using the latest 3D modeling technology, we can ‘virtually’ walk you through your beach house before it is even built. As the tagline ‘Driven by Ideas – Powered by Design’ says at TNA, we get excited by ideas and believe a strong central idea for a project drives the many design decisions made during the design process that are necessary to create good buildings.
