Paul Yoon is a seasoned architect and interior designer with over 25 years of industry experience. Born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrating to Australia at the age of seven, he discovered a passion for technical drawing early in life. He pursued his studies in Sydney, earning a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of New South Wales.

Paul’s career spans a diverse range of architectural firms, with expertise in residential, retail, education, and automotive sectors. In 2012, he founded YG+Partners, now YG Architects and Interior Designers, a practice renowned for its client-centric approach and remarkable ability to transform concepts into refined, functional designs that maximise the potential of each site or development. Initially specialising in industrial, retail, and commercial projects, YG gradually shifted its focus to bespoke residential architecture. Today, Paul’s portfolio includes luxurious, custom-designed homes in Sydney’s most prestigious suburbs, including Vaucluse, Darling Point, Point Piper, Kirribilli, and Woolwich.

With a strong commercial sensibility, Paul seamlessly integrates design excellence with cost efficiency, ensuring every project achieves both aesthetic refinement and practical functionality. His ability to navigate diverse architectural styles while maintaining uncompromising quality distinguishes his work.

Beyond luxury residences, Paul is deeply committed to socially responsible architecture. He has spearheaded over 100 government housing projects, delivering dignified and carefully considered homes for vulnerable communities. His design for the Griffith Women and Children’s Safe House has been recognised in the Best Practice Design Standards for its innovative approach to supporting individuals affected by domestic violence. Dedicated to collaborating with the NSW government, he continues to create housing solutions tailored to diverse needs—each project presenting unique challenges and profound rewards.
