The company has its roots in the Davidson family's long history in agriculture, with Rod's wife, Nicole, currently running the farm, while Rod dedicates his talents to steel fabrication. The company, Davidson Engineering (VIC) Pty Ltd, offers repair, build-to-order, and design services to clients across western Victoria, providing innovative solutions to local farming and construction needs.

In 2017, while building a new fence, Nicole and their teenage son Jimmy grew frustrated with the tedious process of hammering in staples. They wondered if there was a better way to make the job easier. Inspired by this frustration, Rod quickly developed the innovative Davo’s Fencing Clip™, a product designed to make fencing faster and more efficient by using a TEK screw instead of staples. This clever solution revolutionized the way farmers and contractors approach fencing, saving both time and effort while ensuring a durable and secure result.
