Our Process To Approval
At R.Koncept, we believe you should be across every detail, so we summarised the process of obtaining development approval into three major milestones for you.


01 - Concept: tell us about your ideas, what you want to achieve & we’ll take care of the rest
Initial meeting with you to discuss design brief, including your unique requirements, living lifestyle, wish lists, inclusions, as well as project budget.
Preliminary site assessment to review existing site constraints, methods of maximising site features, and potential limitations with planning and construction.
Setting the scope of works and prepare our services agreement for formal engagement, including the services outcomes and deliverables.

02 - Design: all great things start from small ideas!
Compile all necessary information and reports so we can start joining the dots together and ensure your requirements, feasibility, and planning controls are always considered during the entire process.
Second meeting with you to present our creative design and engage in a constructive dialogue to discuss about your feedback, and how we can further exceed your expectations through certain design changes.
Further refine your design by incorporating the agreed changes for your acceptance and develop your approved concept to architectural plan set for the external professionals to work their magic.

03 - Approval: let’s get that dream across the line!
Engage and liaising with external professionals for expert reports as required for your project to ensure the best outcomes have been achieved.
Coordinate any findings from the expert reports and incorporate these information with architectural plans for final documentation.
Prepare of various supporting documents and forms required by council, including the compilation of submission pack and lodgment of the DA.
Our Story
Since acquiring his tertiary qualifications, Ricky has worked for some of Sydney’s largest and most successful volume home builders.



Ricky started his career with Rawson Homes as a design draftsman under Rawson by Design division, focusing on custom designed homes within the Sydney Metropolitan areas.



He later aligned himself with Ichijo Homes, a Japanese multi-national builder which was well ahead of the Australian market at the time and focused heavily on sustainability and energy efficient 7 Star homes.



Ricky took his career further with Clarendon Homes as a senior draftsman and then later as a designer, where he contributed to many award-winning family homes.



He finished his corporate career as a group drafting manager for Zac Homes and Australian House & Land before establishing R.Koncept Building Design & Drafting.



Ricky also worked on many luxury residential projects with architects, where he utilised his compliance knowledge and construction understanding to help turn numerous conceptual ideas into reality.



Throughout the years within the design and building industry, Ricky developed a strong understanding in both contemporary and luxury residential designs, documentation techniques, engineering solutions as well as various construction methodologies.



Our goal is to offer the skills and knowledge we acquired in the building industry and add value for our clients by making the approval process simpler, and to create their dream home through quality building design.
