Established in 2006 Ruth Newman Architect is a multi-disciplinary architecture practice that is committed to design excellence and a high standard of professional service.

From a solo operation, established by founder Ruth Newman in her home office, our Sutherland Shire-based practice has grown significantly since we first opened our doors.

Although we have grown, our values are as strong as they were from that first day:

We work with clients nationally across retail, government and commercial developments, however we passionately serve the local community with our focus on residential work.

As Principal Architect and Project Director, Ruth is involved in all stages of design from inception through to construction documentation and administration for our clients.

About Ruth Newman
Principal Architect & Founder
An architect with over thirty years of experience and extensive knowledge across the design, architectural, and construction industries.

She has wanted to be an architect since she was ten-years old and from her very first lecture at university, her passion and love for the industry was confirmed.

Ruth established her practice with a desire to help her clients to make the most of their ideas to get what they truly want from their property as well being able to live to her values.

Before establishing Ruth Newman Architect, Ruth worked with a range of architectural practices throughout Sydney and Wollongong across residential, retail, government and commercial sectors.

She is registered with the NSW Architects Registration Board, which requires the practise to operate under a Code of Conduct and to meet all required professional standards, including a commitment to continual learning.
